Concrete Cancer Repairs

Restoration of a heritage building (Built early 1900s) with saltwater corrosion attack due to its close proximity to the ocean. The building suffered from concrete cancer, internal rusting, scale expansion of steel resulting in large spalls throughout the structure.

Concrete Remedial Group was engaged to rectify the issues after the client attempted to repair with no success, due to majority of the repairs being overhead.

Concrete Remedial Group proposed a manufacture approved repair methodology and successfully installed over 600kg by hand troweled application.

Subterranean Wall Repair

Concrete Remedial Group was engaged by a developer when the concrete, block and brick subterranean perimeter walls had consistent water ingress entering in due to failed membrane application and poor building practices.

As a result of this, damage was incurred on the skirting, plaster, framing and staircases.

Concrete Remedial Group was asked to assess the damage and resolve the issue. Concrete Remedial Group proposed a manufacture approved repair methodology of negative tanking, Polyurethane application and Waterstop Installation.

Concrete Remedial Group was able to get these structures dry and the developer was able to continue with his build.

Pool Wall Repair

The client had efflorescence’s appearing through the rendered finish on the wall. Once the render was removed it was identified there were leaking cracks.A manufacture approved crack repair system was installed leaving this part of the wall repaired and ready to re-render.

Concrete Spall / Delamination Repair Heritage Building Melbourne

Concrete Remedial Group is often referred by a product manufacturer to repair various issues the client is having. In this particular case, some of the issues were water making its way into the building and warehouse storage areas through pipe penetrations, deleted/present mechanical ducts, construction joints within the concrete suspended slabs.

A builder approached Concrete Remedial Group regarding issues they had in the underground carpark and throughout the structure.

A number of poor work practices from contractors left them with honeycombe/boney concrete, lack of concrete cover over steel, numerous cracks (with and without water ingress), water ingress issues through pipe penetrations/construction joints, concrete slabs finished to the incorrect site measurements, elevator doors built to incorrect sizes and much more.

Concrete Chemical Pitt Refurbishment

Concrete Remedial Group was engaged by a plumber who was unable to replace a pitt due to site restrictions.

A full refurbishment involving inlet and outlet penetration seals, reinstatement of concrete and chemical resistant coating was installed to stop the contaminated water from entering into the surrounding ground, which was becoming an issue to the adjacent landowners.

Negative Tanking

Concrete Remedial Group is consistently having manufacture referrals for the installation process of negative tanking.

This application is installed when an owner/client has no option to get to the positive or problematic side of the structure due being below ground level, adjacent buildings, boundary walls etc.

The application of cementitious negative tanking membrane was used to stop the water and moisture ingress.

Concrete Swimming Pool Repair

Concrete Remedial Group was engaged after the client found cracks throughout their pool structure, delaminating coatings and blisters in the pool linings.

These areas were treated and a new epoxy pool coating was applied.

Concrete Water Tank Repairs

Concrete Remedial Group were engaged by the client in a rural area with limited water supply/capacity and were concerned with the leak in their tank and what further issues would evolve if this issue was not rectified.

Xypex repair was installed to regain the tanks full seal and prevented future maintenance for years to come.

These repairs were completed with a full tank and minimal loss of water.
